How can I set up my Sony DVD player (DVP-SR2000P)?

I bought a new Sony DVD player (DVDP-SR2000P). I hocked the red, white, and yellow cable (that is the only cable that came with the pack) to back of my TV and DVD and pluged the power. I followed the instruction to do a quck set up as i could. when i insert the CD it says "Play back is restrected due to the area retrectin). I don't know what to do? I am in Canada and this is my first time to set up a DVD player. If you want to help, Please indicat every steps clearly. Thanks.
