Does forensic science NEED chemistry?

Well, I'm really interested in forensic science but, I kind of hate chemistry. Do forensic scientists really need it?( I mean like Dexter, CSI etc.) Because I would really like to put it in my future professional goals and the things that I want to study it in a college. Any help would help me a lot. Thanks in advance
